We made it! / Brayden's Birthday!

Well we finally made it to McAllen! We really like it here. It is a very family oriented city. It has taken us a while to get our Internet up and running. They are very laid back around here:) Brayden turned 6 on June 13. We went to Chuck E Cheese and then came home for presents and cake. I would have put more pictures but they don't have cable in our area and our computer is slower than I have patience for:) McAllen is turning out to be perfect for raising our family, even though we do really miss Houston.

Brayden's Graduation!

Brayden had his preschool graduation before we moved to McAllen. It was so cute. It was the best preschool graduation yet. They gave him the best book of pictures from the whole year. It was really sweet.

Orange Belt

Brayden had his orange belt test Thursday. He was awesome.

Big test day for everyone!

This is his board he broke with his first kick! All the others had to practice their kicks on Master Bruce's hand and then kick the board. It took most of them 2 kicks or more before their boards broke, but not my little Bruce Lee, he did it with no practice kicks and busted that board with one axe kick. Below is the video. Excuse the reflections and all the noise, including my goofy laugh:), we were on the other side of the window.

Dare Graduation and Allergy Test

Bailey had her Dare graduation the other week. It was a nine week program that really taught her a lot. They had to write essays and take quizzes, much more than we did back in the day. These 5th graders really worked hard, now hopefully they will remember and use everything they have learned!

Brayden was tested for allergies. This is his skin only moments after they pricked him! You have to wait 20 minutes to see the full effect, so yes these welts were bigger! Ya think he has allergies? :) The allergists was a little surprised when he saw his back, he is allergic to almost everything outdoors and his doggies. The funny thing is he is allergic to cows! How weird is that? He gets a kick out of telling everyone that:) He starts his allergy shots this week. Poor guy:(

White Belt

Brayden has been in Tae kwon do for 6 weeks now. He finally earned his white belt. He has been waiting for this day for soooo long and was soooo excited. He loves Tae kwon do. Master Bruce says he is so well behaved and is such a good kid:) He called his dad and Uncle Francis as soon as class was over today to let them know. It won't be long till we have another black belt in the family:)

Haude Ambassador

Bailey was voted Haude Ambassador at her school. Only two students are picked and it is a huge honor. They are chosen on grades, conduct, extracurricular activities before and after school and the students had to write an essay. She was given her award by the School Board Trustee Committee. Bailey is also student of the week for the City of Houston. She will be on the news anywhere from now till June. They will let us know when. We are so proud of her and all of her hard work.
