Yesterday Blake turned 3. She is the baby of the family and will always be. She is smart, sweet, beautiful, super stubborn, clingy, MAJOR blankie lover and thumb sucker, and even though she drives me crazy and has been the hardest baby for me, I couldn't imagine life without her. She was so excited for her birthday, all her siblings had theirs earlier in the year. She knew hers had to be soon. She spent the whole day singing Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to Blake :) It was so cute. Blake I love you! Below are some random pictures of my beautiful chinky baby as she grew up way to fast these last 3 years. Time really does fly.

Birth Moms

Two weeks ago I went to LDS Family Services to speak with 2 birth moms. One had already placed and wanted to know that it does get easier with time, and the other is placing but is still with the birth father and wanted to hear about my experience since I married the birth father of the twins. It was a great experience for me and I hope I was able to help these birth moms. I gave them each a copy of the song above and a copy of the poem below. These always helped me during the first few years after placing, when it was the hardest time for me.
You have to click on the name of the song for it to play(From God's Arms, To My Arms, To Yours).
~ Legacy Of An Adopted Child ~
Once there were two women Who never knew each other. One you do not remember,The other you call mother.
Two different lives Shaped to make yours one,One became your guiding star,The other became your sun.
The first gave you life, And the second taught you to live it. The first gave you a need for love, And the second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality. The other gave you a name. One gave you the seeds of talent, The other gave you aim.
One gave you emotions, The other calmed your fears. One saw your first sweet smile, The other dried your tears.
One gave you up, It was all that she could do. The other prayed for a child, And God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears, The age old question through the years. Heredity or environment, Which are you a product of? Neither, my Darling, Neither, Just two different kinds of love.
